Bowl with Spout is made by Yasumoto Kajihara in Karatsu city, Saga prefecture.
The bowl is traditionally used to pour liquids such as sake.
Born in 1962 in Imari city, Saga prefecture. Graduated at Arita industrial high school, department of Design in 1980. Worked at Tarosanmarugama in Karatsu city from 1986.
Founded own studio in Karatsu city in 1995. Buit Anagama kiln in his place in 1997.
He makes ceramics using materials which he gathers from nature around his house.
He is visiting old Karatsu kilns to study how to make old Karatsuwares.
