鯉江明 Akira Koie
Akira Koie (鯉江明) was born in Tokoname in 1978, he got interested in creating pottery when he helped building his father’s(Ryoji Koie) kiln.
He uses clay from Tokoname, Tenjiku(around his kiln),Kaga(Ishikawa prefecture),Nagakute(Aichi prefecture)which he digs, make his own glaze and uses his wood fire kiln. He strives to communicate with clay and fire.
